Search and Rescue FAQs

Do you charge me to come search?

No! We will never send your family a bill. We operate off agency reimbursements, grants and donations for search and rescue k9 trailing.

How do we request your services?

Have your local AHJ (authority-having-jurisdiction) to contact us at 1-205-206-9463 or 1-855-997-3727 for a search and rescue k9 trailing team. This is whoever is in charge of the missing persons investigation; local police, sheriff, state police, EMA, etc.. We also have mutual aid agreements in place for area search and HRD K9s.

What is the difference between the different Search and Rescue K9s?

  • Scent Discrimination Trailing (What we train for): Our Bloodhounds can locate a SPECIFIC person based on their individual scent up to 5 days later and miles away.
  • Tracking (What police commonly train for): Can locate the LAST person to run thru a area or hiding in area usually within the last 1-20 minutes.
  • Area (Most SAR Teams): Can locate any person, not person specific, within a small area; generally 40 acres (1/4 mile by 1/4 mile).
  • HRD: Can locate any deceased person up to several months/years old, underground and in the water.

What agencies have you worked with?

  • We work with almost every law enforcement agency in the State of Alabama.
  • We have also helped out a few adjourning counties in Georgia and Tennessee.

Where is your service area?

Our Search and Rescue coverage area is the state of Alabama.
